At the beginning of my PhD, I felt quite lost due to the language barrier and the lack of support from my supervisors. Coaching gave me a safe space to reflect on my situation, helped me gain confidence, and provided practical strategies for dealing with challenges. As a result, I felt less overwhelmed, more supported, and better able to navigate both my PhD work and everyday wellbeing.

Wanted more enjoyment and motivation in both my PhD project and the larger project I was part of. I was experiencing challenges with communication with my supervisors, my working conditions, and collaboration with some colleagues. This also affected my happiness at home.

Through the coaching process, I gained concrete tools for communicating with my supervisors, for supervision meetings, and for structuring my work—such as breaking down large goals into smaller, more manageable steps.

The coaching with Ditte-Marie gave me renewed job satisfaction, motivation, focus, and a revitalized desire to collaborate with my colleagues. I also gained confidence that I would successfully complete my PhD project. The coaching significantly improved my well-being both at work and at home, and I have no doubt that it was crucial in helping me submit my thesis without burning out.

I can warmly recommend Ditte-Marie From as a coach and am incredibly grateful for the journey we had together. She is an outstanding coach.

At one point, I experienced challenges with collaboration and communication during my PhD, including limited dialogue and expectation alignment with my supervisor, as well as a somewhat competitive dynamic among the PhD students in the group. This led to considerable frustration and uncertainty, and often a feeling that I had to compromise on who I was.

The coaching process gave me the opportunity to reflect on my own values and clarify the kind of researcher, colleague, and person I want to be. In addition, Ditte-Marie’s exercises helped me reflect on and articulate my frustrations—among other things in relation to my supervisor’s unspoken expectations—and supported me in recognizing my own boundaries, speaking up when they were crossed, and acting more in alignment with what truly matters to me.

The coaching has been a great help to me. It has taught me, among other things, how to assert myself respectfully and stand by who I am without compromising my values—both with my supervisors and colleagues. It has also given me a greater understanding that it is legitimate to have expectations of others and that people communicate and are motivated differently, which is why it is so important to express one’s needs, expectations, and boundaries.

I am very grateful for everything the coaching has given me, both personally and professionally, and I highly recommend a coaching program with Ditte-Marie.

I felt overwhelmed by restlessness, worry, and probably anxiety—about whether I could do it, whether I was good enough, whether I could do anything at all. I carried difficult past experiences with me, which I struggled to let go of, and I found it hard to believe in the positive, safe, and supportive process I had become part of. I also found it difficult to believe in myself.

The coaching with Ditte-Marie helped me “breathe” again and made it possible for me to be present in my life—both socially and mentally. It helped me talk to my supervisors so that I could both express my concerns and make concrete changes and adjustments that improved my path forward.

The coaching has enabled me to thrive. I have regained confidence in myself, my calmness, and my strengths. It has also helped me practically manage the challenges I face.

Ditte-Marie made a persistent, insightful, and discreet effort in coaching me to uncover the ways I was unknowingly hiding what I deeply wanted to achieve. Through repeated processing and deepening, layers were peeled away one by one, ultimately revealing a single, fundamental, and clear desire. I am now taking the next crucial steps, and I know where it will lead.
